Here are some preview pictures of what we're going to be seeing in two weeks. Now does anyone wonder why we love it there so much? I think the pictures speak for themselves.

Some cool verses - Thanks Maria...These are great!

Psalm 40:1
I waited patiently for the LORD; He turned to me and heard my cry.
Ecclesiastes 3:12
So I concluded there is nothing better than to be happy and enjoy ourselves as long as we can.
Psalm 113:9
He gives the childless woman a family, making her a happy mother. Praise the Lord!

Getting Closer - Kyrgyzstan

We received a brief update from my agency as to where things are (I had e-mailed my contact person to find out) and found out that the paper work (dossier) will be heading to Kyrgyzstan this week. Finally! that's really good news for sure. So it shouldn't be long we're guessing. There was also three approval letters sent out that families are waiting to receive. So things are moving slowly...just not exactly at the pace we all want.
Congratulations to those families...they are very close to getting their children home. It's about time!! :)

Wisconsin Dells & Lake Geneva Trip 8-8-08

What a wonderful weekend we had. We left on Friday afternoon around 3:00. Traffic wasn't that bad considering it was Friday afternoon. We arrived in the Dells around 6:30 just in time for dinner. We decided on Italian for Friday and a steak place Saturday. We ate at a great place called Sarentos. We were able to eat outside also. The food was really good and of course we had left overs. We got back to the room and chilled for a short while. We watched some of the opening ceremonies of the Olympics but called it a night pretty early.

Saturday we got up around 7:30...had breakfast and then took a walk around the area. The Wilderness on the Lake was just minutes from us. But there isn't a lake anymore. It's just so strange to see it like that. Back in early summer there was a lot of rain and one of the leavys broke and the lake disappeared. Plans are to have it back again next summer. It's really a nice area. Late morning we went into town to shop. There were so many stores to look at. A lot the same but we managed to find something different in a lot of them. We got just odds and ends...sweat shirts, tee-shirt, bear stuff, candy, little night light cabin, Just a lot of stuff we won't see. Maybe a few things when we go to Aspen...it was really cool looking at everything. We had about 5 hours and then we had to head to the Time-Share presentation. It was nice to see what they had but would never buy into one. The rooms were really nicely decorated...but far chance someone could get those certain ones unless you spend big bucks. Not! Who can plan their live for the next ten years and expect to use it. Of course after saying "NO" they have nothing to do with you. Oh well...we then walked away with $50.00 in cash. Yeah! It was about 6:15 when we left there so we decided to go to dinner soon after. Every place we did want to go was expensive...but we found the place right next to where we stayed that was in our price range for what we ordered. Was very good. After that we had time to kill so we went back into town for more shopping and ice cream. We got back to the room around 9:30.

We left on Sunday morning around 9:00 to head to Lake Delavan/Lake Geneva. I (mary) got to know a family when I attended my first Home Study. We've talked a lot and did get to visit last year at their home in Lincolnshire. But there were a lot of others then so we didn't get to visit much. It's mainly been e-mails and phone calls. They just got home with their daughter from China in April. It was just so good to finally meet her. She is totally adorable. We arrived there around 11:30 and headed to Lake Geneva for lunch. We'd actually never been there before...just passed through town once. We had a great lunch at Popeys and then did some shopping. Thanks Stacey for the great time we had with you and Macey. We had so much to talk about...we headed back and went in the pool for a short while before heading back to Wheaton. We arrived home around 7:30. It was just so good to see our furry kids again. But we really had a great time. It was really a nice break for us. Staying in a hotel is always great! It's been two years since I did that...Sis did it last year in Door County. We just always seem to have fun where ever we go.
