New Counter Tops Coming soon!

Well...we finally broke down on Saturday and purchased new Silestone counter tops. They will be installed sometime in Feb/March. Expo had a 10% off sale so we decided to do it. Had to help the economy... Right? We choose a green Silestone (sort of like granite)...but have to decide on the sink color. Can't wait to see what it will look like when it's complete.

Today the temperature reached a whopping -7 here in the Chicago area. It was jean day at work because of that. Yippee.

This and That

It's been a few days since I last posted...still not much going on to really talk much about. We finally got all our decorations put away. YES! But things are still not in order. But getting better. I just hate the fact things are out of order. I was looking at pictures of a few years ago and everything seemed to be in order at home. Hummm, maybe it's just that we've added a few more furry kids to our house. :) We actually brought a large cabinet for the garage this weekend. This should really help with the stuff we have. We just need to put it all together.

I took a right/left brain test and I'm 45 left/55 right. Does that mean anything? Maybe I'm just pretty evenly distributed. Hee hee.

It's been mainly a catch-up week...work, cleaning, sleep, organizing, etc.

Martha - For Kyrgyzstan the home study was sent to the agency for review...had a few questions so our social worker sent some questions to get answered. Hopefully it can get approved this week and then Martha will be in line for a referral...but not sure where in line. Just would love to hear a positive something for a change. No report from China. Nothing new and don't expect anything either for a while.

Happy 2008 Everyone

It's been a while since I last posted. Really not much to say though. The holidays are over and things are starting to get back to normal. We've taken all our decorations down...but nothing has been put away yet. So our place is up for grabs. Totally a mess right now...which is starting to get on my nerves. It just seems like I can't get things organized...Need to clean the closets so things will be in order...along with the basement area and garage. Hoping to get more cabinet space.

We had a good weekend...had a great time at dinner on Saturday. Went to Jamesons Chart House...New place in Bloomingdale. Ran in to a former teacher that we hadn't seen in years...can't believe it's been probably about 10 years or more. Wow. Didn't get to talk much though since he and his group were going to their table. We had just been talking about him a few weeks ago. Too funny.

Things are moving slow for Kyrgyzstan...Dossier packet being sent. We will hopefully know more after it arrives. China came out with Referrals and only got through the 19th of December 2005...so they still have one or two more LID left to get through 2005...then we will see how fast they go. We're hoping for mid Spring 2009 for referral for China. That's more likely right now...Just not sure what the Olympics will do with the wait times.
