Hunter Creek Hike & Aspen Mountain - Sunday

It was another great day...sunny and clear skies again. We were picked up again around 9:30 a.m., but first we went to seet he balloons. Really neat to see. All these hot air balloons against the mountains. How cool is that? In the past we never really saw it to take pictures. After that we headed to Hunter Creek not far from town. It was a nice hike for us that aren't in great shape for the higher altitudes. We hiked for about an hour each way and then headed back. When we got back to the car there were people getting ready to ride so we were able to get pictures with the horses. We didn't get a chance to ride this time due to money and time. At least we got pictures. Hopefully next time. We headed then to town to meet up with Bill & Linda from Phila. Long-time friends we haven't seen in many years. It was great to see them again. We then took the gondola up to the top of Aspen Mountain for lunch and to see the view from the top. Even though the colors weren't out yet...it was still very pretty. There was snow on the mountains which helped some.

We enjoyed lunch outside with everyone. It was such a perfect day. We then headed back to our lodge to chill for a short while before dinner. We again went to the pool to hang out in the sun. Around 6:30 we headed back into Aspen for dinner at a very good seafood restaurant. It was another great day in Aspen.
