Maroon Bells & Ashcroft - Pine Creek Cook House

It was a wonderful and very full day today. Around 8:00 a.m. we headed to Maroon Bells to beat the crowds and spend some quality time there. We never get tired of seeing it again and again. It was just so nice to be there. Wasn't too crowded actually. The weather couldn't have been any nicer. It was cool and crisp when we left for Maroon Bells along with clear blue skies. Something we were really hoping for. We got there and there really wasn't that many people there...yeah! It was just so nice to take our time there and see all the beauty there is to see. Who ever doesn't believe God exists has to after being there. Only he can paint that beauty. Wow! This year the colors weren't quite out yet. It was a very late summer so it looks like it will be a late fall. At least there was snow on the moutains. That helped some. After a few hours there it was close to lunch to we headed to Pine Creek Cook House for lunch. This place is out in the middle of no where. Really pretty cool. Because the weather was so nice we were able to eat outside. It was just wonderful. Other times it was on the cooler side. We had a wonderful lunch and then headed back to our lodge before dinner that night. It was so nice out we went to the pool and got some sun.

Around 6:00 we headed to dinner in the town of Aspen. Katey joined us also. We love to visit her house where she lives. It's high up looking over the town of Aspen. As you will see we took pictures. We went to a really nice restaurant called Jimmy's. Really great food. We also sort of celebrated our 47th birthday there too. What a nice time. Thanks so much for dinner...
